Final Cut Pro closes as soon as I try and bring in new footage to the timeline

Yesterday I updated my Mac to Ventura 13.2, and now when I try and bring new footage into the timeline on Final Cut Pro, it just closes the program, here's a screen recording of this happening - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8oQvYZDLMQ

Another thing that cause my final cut to close is if I open up a library and try and copy and paste a clip. Both of these things happen in all of my libraries, BUT, they don't happen if I make a new library, in a brand new library I can import footage and copy and paste things completely fine.

Also, if I don't try and copy and paste, or bring in new media, Final Cut works fine, so far it's just these two actions that cause it to close.

I use Final Cut every day for my job and it's been fine, I haven't installed any new plugins, the only change has been updating to Ventura 13.2.

I've had issues with Final Cut in the past but I've always been able to find a fix by taking the normal troubleshooting steps and checks, but this one's just not going away.

Here are details about my Mac -

FCPX version - 10.6.5

OS - Ventura 13.2

Mac Studio

RAM - 64gb

SSD - 1TB (only 155.91GB of this has been used)

External SSDs where my libraries and video files are stored - SanDisk Extreme 1TB Portable NVMe SSD, USB-C & a 2TB version of the same drive. I have my libraries on one and media files on the other, have never had an issue with either before. Both have over half of there memory free.

I've also included my Etrecheck report.

I didn't see anything in the report that might cause it. I can't reproduce the problem with my media on my system. It might be specific to your media and project. I also don't use the two drive configuration. You might try testing it with a new admin user or on a new bare system using an external SSD.

Is it just one particular Library that causes the problem?

If so, you probably have a corrupted clip or clips which you can find by trial and error and then remove.

Depending on the circumstances it might be easier/quicker to simply delete the Library and start again.

There seems to be an OS problem with complex structures, folders with a large number of items, or embedded folders that add up to a high count, or in FCP events, with a large number of items. Rather than dragging and dropping to the timeline as a workaround try using the import window.

No it's all of my libraries, unless I create a brand new library then it's okay, but if I try and copy clips over from the old libraries it freezes. I've had corrupted clips before that have caused issues but unfortunately that's not the case with this one, I've done some digging online and found that I'm not the only one to be experiencing this since the 13.2 update, so hopefully it's something that gets fixed soon.

Hi Tom, sorry for the delay in getting back to you from your comment yesterday, just quickly to this recent comment though - I did try to import through final cut itself and it seemed to work for a few minutes, but then it closed again, and didn't actually save what I had done, which is odd, so all the clips I had imported were gone.

I forgot to say, I've also tried deleting preferences, uninstalling and reinstalling Final Cut Pro, and reinstalling Ventura 13.2, which haven't worked.
