Apple Podcast episodes takes 8 Gb of data and can't remove it

Tried to go to episodes and remove all downloaded ones. Tried to unfollow episodes. Tried to delete the app but the 8 Gb is still taken.

How do I free up space from Apple Podcast?

Downloaded podcasts won’t delete! I’ve tried everything to delete downloaded Podcasts. In the library, I slide to the left and press remove download, and after I do that, they are all still there. In settings, iPhone storage, I tried to delete and they won’t delete the pop right back up these podcasts are taking all my storage space and I can’t get rid of them. Help!!!

you're lucky, mine is 34.56 GB (only Documents and data)!!!

I REALLY would like to downsize it
