Monthly challenge not counting on watch

Anyone else have this same issue? I’ve got a monthly challenge where I have to walk for 5 minutes, 20 times this month and on my watch it only says that I have 8 out of 20, but if I look in the fitness app it says 14 out of 20. Neither number is correct if I actually count the number of walks I’ve done but I have no idea why there is a discrepancy between the watch and the app. Any suggestions on how to fix?
