Click and hold on the icons, then you can drag them to the desired positions on the dock

How do i stop my dock icons from changing Every time they update, the icons revert to ugly icons. Every time I have to set the icon. This is lame. I want to set an icon once and not have to do it again, no matter if the app updates or not.

Thanks for the reply. I found that clicking the touch pad prevented me from moving the icons. However, if I hovered over the icon and just touched the pad I was able to maneuver the icons.
