I can't rearrange the icons on the dock. This happened after an update a while ago and I thought it would be fixed in a new update. I've followed all the instructions in the online manual to no avail. Any help?

You have to grab and move off the Dock fairly rapidly, as you hold the icon "remove" appears, but you just relocate it and put it back down on the dock.
There is no other trick.
