Unfortunately, I’ve tried all the normal fixes. All it does is show me the generic icon in the picture I posted. When I login from a computer, it just shows a box that says JPEG. Not sure what else to do. I’ve checked this forum for other options to rectify the problem.

Ah, your Notes are housed in iCloud but your photos are not. And therefore I guess your computer’s involvement was to log in to iCloud.com and check both Photos as well as Notes there and find nothing.

I also assume you’ve checked Settings > Notes > Save to Photos and found it “off”. You have also checked Settings > Notes > Accounts and found that iCloud is the one and only account housing any of your notes. And you checked Settings > [your Apple ID] > iCloud and verified you have adequate iCloud storage available.

Other than that, I don’t know what else to suggest.

Hello Harmonsnell,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you need help with missing images in Notes. We completely understand why you'd reach out, and are happy to help.

Were these photos stored in your iCloud Photos? Do you still see them in your Photos app, or in the Photos section of iCloud.com?

Does it help if you Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch and then check your Notes again? If you're using iCloud with Notes, make sure you're on a reliable Wi-Fi network as well to see if this makes a difference.

Please have a look and let us know if this helps!

Cheers!

If you mean that you expect your Notes to be included in an iCloud backup, that is incorrect.

What does iCloud back up? - Apple Support

If you mean that your Notes are housed (and not backed up) in iCloud, then that would be possible. But then you said:

I’ve also I synced notes on my phone with iCloud …

I don’t know what that means. Perhaps it means you restored an iCloud backup to your iPhone. iCloud data is never “synced” - unless maybe you mean you signed out of your Apple ID and signed back in again …

Photos were only stored in the notes. I copied and pasted them to the notes. They have been in there for a while and all of the sudden they disappeared. The only other note that has a picture in it still shows the picture. That picture is also only stored in notes and was copied and pasted. Notes are synced and backed up in iCloud. I’ve restarted my phone and it didn’t help. I’ve also I synced notes on my phone with iCloud and re-synced after a restart of the phone and it also did not work. My wifi is very reliable.
