Mac won’t accept correct password

My MacBook Air M1 will not accept my correct password. I tried multiple times, I know it’s correct, caps lock isn’t on, it’s the right keyboard language. I tried restarting it multiple times, it still didn’t work.

I am unable to login due to change of MacBook Air keyboard input I have a MacBook Air M1 and for the first time, I’m unable to login. After typing in the correct password under my login image, it then asks me for a ‘Name’ and ‘Password’? After a little investigating, it appears that my keyboard input has changed (which is really strange as I’ve never altered these settings)! So whenever I type my ‘correct’ password, the wrong letters and numbers are being entered. In the top right of my login screen it shows that the British Keyboard is active though, which is what I’ve always had it set as? Any help would be such appreciated, thank you. I understand that you are trying the correct password, but you can try the steps in If you forgot your Mac login password - Apple Support and see if you can then login.
