Dozens of screenshots isn't a realistic and impossible for longer threads.

Command P will open the Print dialogue. Save as a PDF.

It crashes when I try to print more than X pages, and I'm not sure how big X has to be but it's not very large.
Sigh.
It looks like I may be able to scroll back quite a ways and then make a video of the screen as I scroll back again.
Not a very elegant solution😁
