Haptic click in trackpad not working (MBP 2019)

Hi,

Since today, my trackpad stopped giving me the click from the haptic feedback motor. The trackpad still works as normal, in the sense that when I push a certain way, it clicks in the mac. Also touch with more force works as I can click and use the lookup function separately.

I followed all the steps online, and updated my software. After this was done, the trackpad worked again. The motor felt smooth again, not indicating that this could be a hardware issue. I put the laptop to sleep, and when I later came back, the click was gone again.

I have now reset NVRAM, nothing has changed.

What could this be, how can I fix it?

If it works correctly then, try restarting your MacBook Pro and testing to see if the issue continues.

Regards.
