Cancel subscription

I want to cancel my trial subscription on New York Times.

when I go to manage subscriptions on my iPad, it says that the subscription will automatically continue if not cancelled. To cancel I must use Itunes.

on itunes on my iMac I am told that the subscription runs until March 3, and that is it. No “cancel” option.

How can I make sure that my NYT subscription does not continue beyond March 3?

If the option to cancel a subscription is missing, see the following excerpt from Apple Support article If you want to cancel a subscription from Apple - Apple Support

You might need to scroll down to find the Cancel Subscription button. If there is no Cancel button or you see an expiration message in red text, the subscription is already canceled.

Also, a subscription that is already cancelled will typically have wording in fine print similar to "Expires on [date]" rather than "Renews on [date].”

If the subscription isn't billed through Apple:

Don't see the subscription when you follow the steps to cancel your subscription? You might have purchased that subscription from another company.

On your bank statement, find the charge for the subscription. If your bank statement doesn't say Apple, apple.com/bill, or something similar, Apple doesn't provide this subscription to you. To cancel the subscription, contact the company that offers the subscription to you. Statements often list the name of the company, such as Hulu, Pandora, YouTube, Amazon, HBO, etc.

Thank you.

on my Ipad in my NYT subscription it says that subscription will automatically renew if not cancelled. There is no cancel option and I must instead go to iTunes on my iMac.

on iTunes it just says that the NYT subscription expires on March 3. And that is it.

It seems to me that my iPad and IMac give me two different answers as to whether my subscription is cancelled or not.

And there is no cancel option on eithet iPad or iMac.
