iPadOS 16.2 keyboard pop-up covers Message text when "share via" with photo or website attached.
Has anyone else encountered this issue since updating to iPadOS 16.2? When sharing a link (from a website, or the Apple News App) or a photo: Each time I attach the item via the “Share via button”, and try to add some text under it in the same message the keyboard pops up and covers the dialog box where the message typically appears while you type. This means that you have to type blind, then tap on the message box to see what you typed. If you made an error you have to insert the cursor… which causes the keyboard to pop up, and you now have to make your corrections “blind” as well. You also have to tap the dialog box to get out of the keyboard again to send the message because the keyboard covers the send button. I’ve tried rotating my iPad Pro to landscape and there is no change. This only occurs when using the “send via” to the Messages app. In the previous iPadOS release, 16.1, this was not an issue. I thought that perhaps it was the new “stage manager” feature, but I’ve tried it in all variations including “full screen” with the same result. Does this happen to anyone else? Is there a setting somewhere I’m missing? It’s truly maddening to try and work with. Image attached with what I see, the text dialog box is completely covered by the keyboard… to view the image to be sent and the text input dialog box you her to either “collapse” the keyboard (lower far right key) or tap the message screen. Thoughts?
