Notes App Not Working with Stage Manager

I use Stage Manager to organize my open app windows. However, the Notes app does not appear to work with Stage Manager - when I'm using Notes and select another app in the strip to the left, the Notes window stays in the center of the screen rather than moving to the strip of apps on the left side of the screen.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 13.1

How do you stop notes from popping up in new windows? In the Notes app, every time I click on a note in the sidebar, it opens in the main window, but a new popup window appears with that same note and formatting controls only. It's very annoying and has no reason to exist. Any way to stop this from happening?

Apple Notes Window size on Mac (width) How do I make the width of the Apple notes window smaller? While working I like to have a internet browser and the notes app open so that I can take notes. I like to have the browser and the notes app taking up the full screen vertically and horizontally about 7/8 filled with the browser and 1/8 taken up by notes. I'm not sure if it's due to the recent software update or if I accidentally messed with the settings, but now I can't get the width of the notes app to take up any less than 1/4 of the screen at the smallest width. Also if I'm looking at the notes gallery view it has 2 columns of tiles instead of 1 like it had previously. Any ideas on how to fix this? (currently having to have half the notes app off the screen which is driving me insane) Currently running macOS Ventura

Notes app not opening gallery view Macbook Air macOS Sonoma version 14.5 The notes app on my mac suddenly does not allow me to view the notes in a gallery view. Its only allowing me to view the notes in a "list" view but when I switch to gallery it only shows the panel as can be seen in the screenshot below

You can try booting into Safe Mode then restart normally. That sometimes clears anomalies.

Works for me. Check System Settings > Desktop & Dock > Stage Manager > Customize…

My settings mirror the screenshot you posted. It works for all apps except Notes.

Tried that - no luck. Also reinstalled macOS Ventura but it still won't work.

Well I'm out of ideas. Hopefully someone will think of something. I have Ventura on two different Macs and I'm not seeing the problem.
