Notes - Format (table and Aa)

When creating new note, format toolbar does appear above keyboard. Sometimes when I am entering text, copying, pasting, using items from this toolbar, the toolbar disappears.

The only way I’ve found to get toolbar back is to click Done, close Notes completely and then reopen the note in question.

Is there a way to get the toolbar to reappear without closing the Note I’m working in?

Thank you for assist. If I understand you correctly, while working in a Note and toolbar disappears, you are saying to close the Note but not exit Notes app, correct? I close the Note and then immediately reopen the Note and there will be an = bar in lower left iPhone. I will try this the next time the format bar disappears and will let you know.
