need help syncing iPod Shuffle to Macbook Air M1 Ventura

Hi, I don't know if anyone know how to help me with this but I wanted to download my playlist from my Macbook Air M1 (Ventura) to my iPod Shuffle using a USB-C to USB cable. The name of the iPod shows up in my Finder and Music but when I click on it, it kept on loading and loading for a long time until it says it doesn't recognize it even though I allowed it when I plugged in the iPod. Is there something missing?

It sounds like you're trying to sync music from your MacBook Air to your iPod shuffle. We can help.

A great place to start is with these steps to Sync music between your Mac and iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Keep in mind that music can only be synced from your MacBook Air to your iPod, but not from an iPod to your MacBook Air.
