Siri does not play songs/albums/artists from my Apple Music library when using Apple Car play! It seems to pull one random song from that artist and plays it.

I connect my IPhone to my car with a lighting/USB cable.

Apple CarPlay drops in.

All apps work fine, EXCEPT

Recently when I used Siri to request hear a specific song or album in my Apple Music Library, Siri does not pull songs/albums from my Apple Music library.

Siri plays that song, but I'm not sure it's from my library.

When I ask to hear a specific artist ( that I know is my library), Siri doesn't queue all my library music from that artist, it only picks one random song from the requested artist and plays that.

iPhone is up to date, Siri was cycled on/off.

what's going on here ???

This just started happening recently.

Hey there chunkxxx,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. To get started, do you experience any issues with requesting Siri to play albums, artists, or playlists from your Apple Music library when not connected to CarPlay?

If not, for help with troubleshooting issues with CarPlay not working as expected, give the steps listed in the following resource a try: If you need help with CarPlay - Apple Support

First, make sure that your country or region supports CarPlay and that your car supports CarPlay. If you're unsure if your car supports CarPlay, contact the vehicle manufacturer.

Make sure that your iPhone has the latest version of iOS. If your iPhone is updated to the latest version of iOS, follow these steps — checking CarPlay after each step:
1. Check your connection to your CarPlay stereo:
- If you have a wired connection, try connecting again with a different USB cable to a different USB port if you have one.
- If you have a wireless connection, make sure that Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled under Settings > Wi-Fi and Settings > Bluetooth.
2. If CarPlay doesn't activate automatically, look for the CarPlay logo on your car's display.
3. Restart your iPhone and your car.
4. Make sure that Siri is on.
5. If your iPhone isn't detected by CarPlay, make sure that CarPlay isn't restricted. Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions, tap Allowed Apps and make sure that CarPlay is enabled.
6. Go to Settings > General > CarPlay, tap your car, then tap Forget This Car. Then set up CarPlay again.
7. Make sure that your CarPlay stereo is using the latest firmware from the car manufacturer. Check your car's manual for more information.

If you still have issues connecting to CarPlay, contact Apple Support.

Keep us updated on the results after going through the steps above, and we'll continue from there.

Take care.
