Watch OS 9.2 and Battery rapid drain

So this continues to be an issue about every other major update. Watch Series 7 working fine for months and months and then for past four or five days, it takes two 100% charges and dies twice in same day. Charging takes like 1 1/2 hours.

In the past, my only good option that completely restored battery levels was:

“FWIW, in some cases, unpairing the watch, completely erasing it, then pairing and restoring the backup will resolve the battery draining issue after an update. (Simply unpairing and pairing again may not work.)”

which I will do tomorrow…. But sure wish Apple would really address this going forward!

Despite what you say it is not a big problem as a fraction of the many millions of users.

Restarting or forced restarting of Watch and iPhone after every update should be carried out as a habit.

If the erase and setup does not help, try setup as a new watch instead of restoring backup.

Use of security apps on the phone can cause problems.
