Block unwanted emails

I used to be able to BLOCK unwanted emails that made it into my inbox by tapping the forward arrow, scrolling to the bottom and tapping “Block Sender”. (A red circle with a line through it would appear so I knew it was blocked.) All of a sudden, my iPhone lost that capability! WHY…and how do I get it back?

How to block EVERY email from my messages At some point a year or two ago Apple and the communication industry decided it would be a good idea that you could receive emails in our primary message app. I've never wanted this. This is Stupid. Why can I select somewhere to prevent ALL emails from entering my messaging app. If I wanted to see an email I'd go to my email app! Apple! Please find a solution to prevent all emails from arriving into my messaging app! YES I know i can add an email message to my blocked list... I just want EVERY email on my blocked list. It would be nice if Apple could add a simple filter that any contact with the @ symbol in the sender was blocked! Android is looking better every day.

Circle with slash on blocked senders I can’t seem to find a way to prevent blocked sender’s emails from appearing in my inbox with a circle and a slash through it on the upper right side. I’ve checked Settings, Mail, blocked senders and it already had a checkmark on “send to trash.” I’ve also toggled between the two options, reset again and nothing. I’ve just recently updated my iPhone. I actually had to update twice, since there were two updates required. I never had this problem prior to the updates, but I do now. Searching the net has failed to provide a solution, so I was hoping someone here might have the answer. Thank you.

Thank you for posting to the Apple Support Communities.

You can still block a contact in the latest version of the iOS Mail app. Please review the following Apple Support article: Block phone numbers, contacts, and emails on your iPhone or iPad.

From the Mail app, open the email that has the contact that you want to block, then tap the contact at the top. Tap Block this Contact.
