iPhone won't accept the SIM card

Hi. I recently lost my phone, when found again, it connects to the Wi-Fi etc but won’t accept the simcard… I’ve tried multiple sims but nothing happens. It searches for about 10 seconds then all signal bars vanish. Can anyone help as to what I do? (iPhone 14)
