I keep deleting Screentime app limits, and they keep reappearing!

I am managing a child's Screentime (on his iPad and iPhone, both running latest OS) using my own iOS and Mac OS devices. All are using the latest OS.

For a while I noticed the YouTube screentime limit didn't work, even though I set the system to disable YouTube after the time limit had been reached. Eventually I deleted the time limit (this was a bucket of about 20 apps that I was limiting) and created a new one.

But even after deleting a limit, it keeps reappearing. I delete it, and then I check my Screentime setting, and it's back. This has happened probably a dozen times. I turned off Screentime, turned off App Limits, deleted everything -- this time, two sets of limits I'd created. Then I turned Screentime back on and created a third set of limits (as I'd deleted the other two).

Well, what do you know: Now I have THREE sets of Screentime app limits instead of the one. Ghosts are in the machine. Help!

I am having the same problem. Screen time is very buggy right now. Reboots not helping. I have one kids phone that has all downtime setting cleared shortly after putting them in. Screen time needs some serious work.

same peoblem here, it started 4-6 weeks ago.

ive donereconfigured everything, it no longer works as it has for the last year. there is a problem with screentime

That definitely doesn't sound like expected behavior, so we'd like to help. We advise that you start by rebooting all involved devices first: Restart your iPhone and Restart your iPad. Make sure all are updated: Update your iPhone or iPad. Try turning off Screen Time (as you did before) after all of the above steps are taken and recreate those limits.
