Changed email for Apple ID

Hi,

I recently changed my e-mail for Apple ID on my MacBook. However, it didn't change on my iPhone. Now I keep getting messages to verify/ log in to my Apple ID, however it is stuck on the old e-mail. So now I cannot change the email on my iPhone, because I first have to log out of my Apple ID which is still stuck on my old email. And this old email isn't a valid Apple ID anymore, so the email/password combination does not work.

I was hoping somebody might know how to fix this. The only option I can think of right now is completely resetting my iPhone. But I was hoping there might be another option :).
