Will Apple TV HDMI eARC ever support Airpods?

It's nice to use my Homepods as speakers for XBox, HTPC, and Apple TV, but it would be great to also be able to put on my Airpods and have the sound switch from my Homepods to my Airpods when I'm using my XBox or HTPC like I it does for my Apple TV. Currently if I'm on my HTPC and I put on my Airpods it continues playing sound from my Apple TV. If not, then I have to buy separate headphones for those devices.

Apple TV 4K, tvOS 16

I believe that due to airpods using bluetooth to communicate, that is a big no, since ARC/eARC rely on fast communication such as HDMI and Wi-Fi. So again, unless you can use a device that can do such processing with the mentioned protocols, Airpods are out of question (take for instance the fact that even the greatest/most expensive airpod model, it doesn't support Lossless audio).
