Contacts app not remembering my home address, work phone, primary email, etc.

I recently moved to a new state. I updated my contact card with the new address and labeled it as “home”. When later said “hey siri, navigate home,” it mapped me to my old address several states away, even though that address has been removed from my contact card.

I looked at my contact card again and saw the label of the address had defaulted back to “address.” Each of my 3 email addresses (previously labeled “primary”, “work”, and “other”) had also defaulted to the “email” label. My phone numbers also defaulted to the “phone” label instead of “iPhone” and “work”.

I have added these labels back at dozen times, but they never stay. They usually switch back to the default after about a day. I’m not sure what is causing this, since the labels do sync across my iPads, MacBook, and iPhone.

Hello ahreed304,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We see you have some questions about updating your address on Contacts, and it not saving. If your iCloud Contacts, Calendars, or Reminders won't sync

There's a few steps in that article that may be able to help, not only with your Contacts, but the steps to refresh your iCloud connection. Let us know if this helps.

iCloud.com
If all your updates don't appear or you have another issue, try these steps on iCloud.com:
1) Update your browser and clear the cache.
2) If updates from other devices don't appear, open another app on iCloud.com, like Mail. Then go back to the Contacts, Calendar, or Reminders app.
3) Sign out of iCloud.com, then sign back in.

Regards.
