Body text of emails forwarded from Mac Mail to Outlook 2016 are not appearing

Whenever I forward a thread, the body of the thread below my signature does not appear in inbox of recipient. The photo that is in my signature also does not appear embedded in the email, but instead shows up as an attachment to the email.

This happened again  today with an email that contained a number of inline/embedded images. I noticed that all of the inline images converted to attachments and all of the body text of my email that was supposed to appear below the first image was completely missing. So, I suspect that what's happening with the forwards is basically that all text that appears below any embedded image is disappearing and all embedded images are being converted automatically to attachments.
