How do I get rid of the new “featured” content in the Apple TV Up Next section?

After the update, the preview image for Up Next section was replaced by annoying auto-playing content and I have to scroll down to get to my list of shows. I checked the settings and found the ability to change the “top shelf” to my Up Next, but it didn’t change anything. I even restarted my Apple TV just in case, but it did nothing. How can I fix this?

You can’t change that in the current version. Apple can, if they wanted to, for a new version. E.g. when they realize that “not everyone” likes this new presentation.
