I loved my first-gen AirPods, which fit perfectly and were extremely comfortable, but they no longer held a charge so I picked up a pair of third-gen AirPods. They feel much bigger, don’t seem to fit well, and are very painful. Please, someone tell me that there is a workaround and that there is a way to way to wear ear tips with these!

Well, it’s maddening that I have to spring for AirPods Pro if I don’t want to injure my ears. And no, I’m not shoving them into my ear canals. A lot of people have issues with the fit of the third-gen AirPods.
Alas, it has been more than two weeks. I kept thinking that it was just a question of getting used to it. But if anything the pain is getting worse rather than better. I’m a petite woman; I feel as though these were designed for a large man. Why would they not make ear tips for these?
My mistake was thinking that I just needed to get used to the third-gen airpods. My ears are now swollen, scraped, and raw. I’ve just ordered some third-party ear tips; fingers crossed that they will help.
I have to wonder if Apple isn’t leaving itself open to a class-action suit.
