Disable auto save

How do I disable auto save in Numbers and Pages in Big Sur 11.7.2?

iMac 27″, macOS 11.7

This is a screenshot of the general tab in Pages' Preferences. I don't see any option for disabling auto save.

You would visit System Preferences > General and select: Ask to keep changes when closing documents. You will know that autosave is disabled because there will be a dot in the center of the title bar red traffic light that does not disappear until you manually save the document, and reappears as new content is entered.



If you attempt to quit Pages without first saving it, you will receive a dialog to save or delete the current content.
