How to turn off background graphic in Apple Weather?

Now that Apple Has shut down Dark Sky weather app and forced us to use the horribly designed Apple Weather app, I’m trying to turn off the background graphics.

Give me the option to turn off all that cutsie crap and just have a neutral solid background that will contrast with font colors. How is that done?

Maybe the forecasting portion of Dark Sky was added to the Apple Weather app. But, they sure missed the boat by not including the DS clean graphics, too.

It cannot be done. The animated backgrounds are part of Apple's Weather Apps and cannot be disabled.

You may want to give Apple feedback about it at Feedback - iPhone - Apple

or at Feedback - Weather - Apple

There are of course other weather apps in the App store you may want to try out if the default Apple weather is not to your liking.
