Is there a way to revert the weather app back to better contrast - so we can see weather information at a glance?

The weather app in WatchOS 10 is a huge step backwards in usability. The information is overlayed on a background image, so you have light text on top of a light image, so you can no longer glance at it to see the forecast.

Is there a way to turn off the background image or revert back to the old weather app?
