Mac stuck uploading items for icloud for days

My macbook is uploading items for days, and it seems not getting much progress.

The items are uploading, because the number are changing, but it remains in some MB for days.

To give some context: I have 2 macbooks, this one that is stuck, is my work computer and then I have another at home. They are both sync in the same icloud account.

I think this problem is because I make a lot of changes daily in my work macbook, and somehow the icloud is not keeping up with uploading the items.

Is there anyway I can prioritise the upload so it that it uploads faster? I already left the Macbook

turnned on during the night, in the hope that it uploads everything, but nothing happen... Can someone help me?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 13.1

Hello indiarodeia,

To help resolve this issue, boot into safe mode to see if the upload will go any faster. Safe mode can clear caches and bypass third party software that may cause conflicts. This article shows you how:

How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support

Determine whether you're using a Mac with Apple silicon, then follow the appropriate steps:
Apple silicon
1. Shut down your Mac.
2. Turn on your Mac and continue to press and hold the power button until you see the startup options window.
3. Select your startup disk, then press and hold the Shift key while clicking “Continue in Safe Mode.”
4. Log in to your Mac. You might be asked to log in again.
Intel processor
1. Turn on or restart your Mac, then immediately press and hold the Shift key as your Mac starts up.
2. Release the key when you see the login window, then log in to your Mac.
3. You might be asked to log in again. On either the first or second login window, you should see ”Safe Boot” in the upper-right corner of the window.

Depending on the results you receive, you may need to follow the additional steps from the article provided.

Also, how much storage is available on the Mac? If your storage is low, it can cause performance issues. You can check your storage by following the steps here:

Choose Apple menu  > System Settings, click General in the sidebar, then click Storage on the right.
