Ipad pro M2 and Macbook m1 pro (2022) . Cannot use sidecar

Trying to use side car with both devices (Ipad pro M2 and Macbook m1).

I've checked that both devices have latest os installed.

Both devices have the same apple id, not shared, with double factor authentication.

The Ipad pro is next to the Mac. From Ipad, I go to Setting->Bluetooth and select macbook from the list of the available messages (I'm sure is mine because the computer name matches).

[Device not supported error] is shown

From Mac, Bluetooth setting, I find the Ipad Pro, click to Pair, The Ipad get paired for just a couple of seconds thant disappear. If I select again the macbook device from the Ipad, I get the same error.

[Device not supported error]

*I'm sorry I'm translating error messages from Italian, so it may be slightly differents.

Hello mante_sku,

While both your MacBook Pro and iPad Pro need to have Bluetooth enabled to use that feature, you do not need to attempt to manually pair them via the Bluetooth settings. Manually pairing your MacBook Pro and iPad Pro isn't supported, so that behavior is expected.

If you have met all the requirements from the following resource, you should see an option to move windows from your Mac to your iPad: Use an iPad as a second display for a Mac - Apple Support

Move your pointer over the full-screen button  of a window on your Mac, then choose the option to move that window to your iPad.

You can also adjust settings for SideCar using the steps below:

• macOS Ventura or later: Choose Apple menu  > System Settings, click Displays in the sidebar, then click your iPad at the top of the window.
• macOS Monterey: Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click Displays. Click Display Settings, then click your iPad in the sidebar.
• Earlier versions of macOS: Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click Sidecar.

Just let us know if you aren't seeing other options, and we'll keep moving forward from there.
