My new MacBook Air mail is stuck. I'm only able to see the "Outbox" screen. It says there are 0 messages in the outbox but it won't let me delete the outbox!

Start with this...


Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes or more.


Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

Use a New App Password:

Do you use an App Password? If so, try a new App Password. Sometimes, changes (i.e. updates) are made to the device, and then mail server syncing becomes an issue (which is what a new App Password it intended to fix). As an example, go here for gmail: Sign in with App Passwords - Google Account Help - Google
