How do I delete all the software updates

i have software updates sitting from 2017, it’s slowing down my iPad. None of the apps are not working . Just greyed out

iPad Air 2, iOS 11

My icons are greyed out and keep turning in circle, I have software updates from 2017 sitting and I haven’t updated. So how do I delete those updates.
