iCloud Duplicate Files
How do I prevent iCloud from making duplicate files?

When files are duplicated in iCloud Drive , right click on duplicate file and click on remove download .
Also when you are saving files choose a different location rather than iCloud Drive Work with files and folders in iCloud Drive – Apple Support
This will prevent duplicating of files in Mac and will stop syncing the duplicate file when other devices like iPhone , iPad are signed in with same Apple ID and password on the same network with Mac , in which iCloud Drive is turned as on .
