I have a problem that in the current OS Ventura 13.1 it is not possible to find IPTC tags in photos on an external disk (ExFAT) even if they are written in the file.
If I copy the photos to the PC, they too show up and the file can be searched. But on an external disk this is not possible. Is there any solution to locate the photos on the extermin disk?

The external disk must use APFS or Mac OS Extended format for Spotlight support so Finder can show the image metadata. A workaround for non-Mac formats like exFAT is to use some other app that can read that data (GraphicConverter, exiftool, Preview etc).

Thank you. Well, that's very uncomfortable. Older macOS didn't have a problem with this.
I formatted the external drive on Mac OS Extended, but the IPTC tags are still not displayed.
I'm getting tired. I didn't wait for the external drive to index :) so everything works :)
