Font keeps changing as i write in notepad?

I’m fully updated to 16.2 on both iPhone 12Pro and Ipad Pro 12.9/6thGen

I have used notes daily for years with no problems, but lately as I’m typing the fonts are changing on their own? I couldn’t even find how to change fonts in notes if I wanted to lol, so WHY is this happening? Very frustrating and buggy - is this a known ios 16.2 issue? It is happening on both devices. Ty in advance :)

Hello Zomblue,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

We are happy to assist you with your iPad concerns. Which app are you using—Notepad or Notes? You have mentioned both and we aren’t sure which you’re asking for help with.

Let’s start by using the steps here to restart your iPad as this step may help: Restart your iPad - Apple Support

"How to restart an iPad without a Home button

  1. Press and hold either volume button and the top button until the power off slider appears.
  2. Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off. If your device is frozen or unresponsive, force restart your device.
  3. To turn your device back on, press and hold the top button until you see the Apple logo."

We recommend you use the steps here to manage any fonts that you may have installed here: Install and manage fonts on iPad - Apple Support

  1. "After you download an app containing fonts from the App Store, open the app to install the fonts.
  2. To manage installed fonts, go to Settings  > General, then tap Fonts."

Let us know if you have further questions.

Take care.
