Keep NAS drive connected on resume or reboot

My NAS drive keeps losing connection and I have to go back to Finder>Go>Connect to Server. Previous solutions say to go to Users Groups and Log Items. However, that is not an option anymore on the new update. Anyone know how to do this?

NAS not allowing additional users? Running Big Sur on iMac with Buffalo LinkStation LS210 network attached storage (NAS) for my home. This NAS has always been troublesome about staying active on the network. Recent outages meant I had to restart it, and reconnect it to the network, but Finder did not automatically mount it. I used Finder Connect to Server but no NAS device found on the network. Used IP Scanner app to scan network: IP Scanner finds and pings the NAS, and reports the IP address. I used the IP address in Connect to Server to map the NAS. When trying to map using https:// Finder says "This file server will not allow any additional users to log in." When trying to map using smb:// Finder says "The server may not exist or it is unavailable at this time." This exact problem is in Apple Support for an older OS, and the comments say that OS changes have affected the process but give no details. Suspect there is a plist or some such file which can be deleted to allow the NAS a fresh start, but I cannot find any info about which file that might be.

Reconnect automatically to NAS I'm trying to automatically reconnect to my NAS after a reboot/login. Instructions suggest I should go to Settings>General>Login Items and click on the + to add. However, when clicking on the + I get a finder window that will only allow me to select an application rather than a share. What am I doing wrong? OS-Ventura 13.2.1 Thanks! Ian

Why does Synology NAS crash when accessing SMB? When I want to copy from my Synology NAS to my Mac Mini 2028 using SMB 2, it crashes when opening the folder on my Synology NAS. Does anyone know how this is possible and how I can solve this? Or should I wait for an update? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

What are the details of your NAS? Are you connecting via smb?
