im trying to transfer data from old windows laptop to mac book pro 13" ...almost all the data is transferred but last few files are left but the time to transfer keeps on increasing ....if I cancel the transfer now then will there be data in my mac ?

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. To get started, depending on how big the last few files are, and the speed of the transfer, it may expected for the transfer to take some time to complete.

If you have issues moving your data
You can use the check disk (chkdsk) utility on your PC to check for issues that might prevent successful migration of your data.
1. Right-click the Start button, then click Run.
2. Type cmd and press Enter. Command Prompt opens.
3. At the prompt, type chkdsk and press Enter.
4. If the utility finds problems, type chkdsk drive: /F, where drive is the letter representing your Windows startup disk, such as C.
5. Press Enter.
6. At the prompt, type Y, then restart your PC.
7. Repeat this process until the check disk utility reports no issues. If the utility can't fix every issue that it found, you might need to have your PC serviced.
Or use an external storage device or file sharing to copy important data from your PC to your Mac.

The Final Transfer, in picture above, is the User Account from Windows machine to Apple Machine.
If this is stopped or interrupted - there could be serious consequences to the Apple Computer
Not least of all, the Apple Computer may have more than one User Account or worse still a Corrupted User Account
