Apple Music folder correct location

on my iMac I'm running Ventura 13.1, and Apple Music 1.3.2.31. My music is stored in the iTunes Media Folder however inside that folder are two folders. One is label Apple Music (I am subscribed) The other is just labeled Music. Is one of these folder no longer needed? Apple Music shows I have 20,519 songs at 133GB. The Apple Music folder (in finder) shows 845 items for 557 GB and the Music folder shows 907 items for 557GB. I do see a bunch of music folders in the Apple Music folder that are not showing up in the other Music folder. I don't want to delete the Apple Music Folder unless it is not needed but I thought maybe it's some of iCloud backup and just hasent caught up yet

The Apple Music folder is where any DRM protected Apple Music tracks that you've downloaded for offline use end up. You can select downloaded Apple Music tracks, right-click, and use the Remove Download option to clean up. The Music subfolder may be present as a legacy from iTunes where different media kinds each get their own subfolder within the media folder. Well I just imported a CD and the file is located in the Music folder I was talking about not the Apple Music folder. This CD was also matched and downloaded for offline listening. It does not show up in the Apple Music Folder just the Music folder. For example in iTunes Media, Apple Music, Carrie Underwood Folder there is a song cry pretty. In iTunes/Music/Carrie Underwood there is no song listed as Cry Pretty. I then checked in the Apple Music player and there is no Cry Pretty in my song list. I do see that all those songs listed in the Apple Music Folder as listed as Protected MPEG 4 files. But my point is why are there so many files in there that are not in my list of songs when I am using the Apple Music Player. It seems like there are just a Buch of left over files that maybe I downloaded in the past, why isn't this folder cleaning up if I deleted a downloaded song?
