Inconsistent Bluetooth Connectivity
I have a set of PreSonus E3.5BT speakers, located about 12 feet from my computer. Connecting to these speakers with my iPhone or iPad consistently works perfectly. With my MacBook Air (M1) it is a different story. Sometimes the connection works, but more often it doesn't. At times it even shows a connection, but sound is still output through my computer's internal speakers. Other times the connection just drops before anything is playing. Other times it just does not connect at all. When these things happen I can still always connect with my mobile devices (from the same distance away from the speakers). I've tried deleting and re-pairing the device, logging out and logging back in, restarting, turning off the speakers then turning them back on. Sometimes these things get it going again and sometimes not. With the MacBook Air it is always a crapshoot. There is no reliable/dependable connection,
Given that the connections are good with the mobile devices I have to conclude that the problem is with the bluetooth on the Mac rather than a problem with the speakers. The information from Apple on bluetooth troubleshooting is of no help in solving this problem.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I might determine what the problem is with this?
