How do I prevent VPN from being deleted?
I’ve tried looking in screen time and parental controls but there is no option to prevent deletion of the VPN. Can apple add that to the next update?
Well, you can suggest it to Apple→Product Feedback - Apple, but it won’t make the next update, because the next update is already in beta. It might make an update in the distant future if enough users ask for the same feature, but you’re request is the first time I ever seen it asked for.
If you have a Mac you can add device management to the phone, which probably includes the ability to force all data to go through VPN, however, it is not free, requires a current generation Mac to run on, and takes a while to learn. But if you want to experiment go to the Mac App store and download Apple Configurator. The app is free, but the MDM services it works with are not.
Technology can be an aid to parenting, but not a replacement for it.You might suggest consequences if a child deletes VPN against your wishes.
