Hello Wordle84,

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities.

It sounds like you're needing assistance with updating your Apple Watch, right?

If we have that correct, let's confirm that you have the latest iOS version installed on the paired iPhone first. In order to download and install the latest watchOS version, the latest iOS version would be needed first, so use the steps of the following resource for help with that, if needed: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

If you have the latest iOS version, the steps below typically clear up concerns with updating an Apple Watch. You can also find additional helpful steps to try in the following resource, so be sure to review it: Update your Apple Watch - Apple Support

Need more help with updating?

Try these steps:

1. Make sure that your Apple Watch is connecting properly to its charger

2. Restart your Apple Watch.

3. Restart your paired iPhone.

4. Try again to update your Apple Watch.

If the update won't start:

1. Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.

2. Tap General > Software Update.

3. Delete the update file.

4. Try again to update your Apple Watch.

Learn what to do if you see 'Cannot Install Update' when updating Apple Watch or if your Apple Watch says you need more available storage to install a watchOS update.

If that isn't helpful, let us know what happens when you try to update the Apple Watch. If you're getting an error message, let us know what it shows. We'll gain a better understanding of what could be occurring to provide you with the best next steps to take.

Have a great day!
