Will Mac OS ever reinstate ability to granularly customize date formats?

Why can't you fully customize date and time formats in macOS anymore? I remember being able to fully customize the formats for how my Mac showed the date and time, like rearranging date elements, changing what they look like, and setting different formats for short, medium, long, and full dates and times in macOS Monterey. Doesn't seem like you can do this anymore—you're now restricted to a very limited set of choices in dropdowns now. Why is this? Loved making it all personal and unique back then!

Custom Date Formats in Mac OS Ventura In Venturer there is now only one option for setting the date format. Up to Mac OS Monterey it was possible to set multiple date formats (Short, medium, long and full). This was useful for various aspects of data entry and for the some purposes (e.g. spreadsheets) fundamental to correct data. I have noticed that downloaded csv documents from one particular provider when opened in Excel (2016 - which no longer updates) are now no longer able to display dates correctly. This makes the program unusable. I am switching files to Numbers, but I have many years of data in excel files and it is still important to be able to update it accurately. I note that other community members are having difficulty as a result of this change as well. I have asked Apple to restore the ability to reset multiple date formats, but with no result.

Date modified in Finder changed after updating MacBook Pro to Ventura 13.4.1 (c) After updating my to Ventura 13.4.1 (c), the format of the date modified within the folders changed to mm/dd/yy. Before it was, for example Jul 14, 2023 at 7:00 AM. What caused this change and how can I fix the format?
