Adding music to ipod

So I have an audioflood iPod shuffle I use for swimming. However, it reset and all my music got deleted. Now I have tried to add music every way posible and have not been able to do so, it continues to say to use iTunes. I cannot get iTunes now and I dont know how to do this. Please help, how can I do this?
