Iphone calendar "no invitations"

I have a brand new iPhone 14, but I had this problem with my previous iPhone 12.

when I open my calendar app it says "no invitations" and won't do anything.

This happens several times a week.

In a prior post about this concern, it said to delete the app and reinstall it. Then I need to rest my home screen to put it back where it was.

There has to be a better way.

Please share it with me.

I have no problem getting a new calendar app, but I don't want to lose what I have entered in the app I have.
