iPhone 14 pro - battery draining issue

I bought my iPhone 14 pro days after on the launch day from an apple store. I'm having issues with the battery and charging.

The battery drains quickly, and is unable to last throughout the day. One of the main reasons I bought the Phone 14 is because of the long battery life, which is not what I got.

In fact, the battery life is worse than my iPhone XR! Another key reason I bought the iPhone 14 because is because the iPhone XR battery was in need of replacement. However, iPhone XR battery outlasts the iPhone 14!

The final issue is that the phone runs hot. Just using it normally, setting the battery to optimize longevity and performance, and closing open apps and windos regularly.

I also spent HOURS torubleshooting with apple tech support, and they ran some tessts but did not find anything. One of the recommended steps was to download the newest software, which I do regularly. But after doing all of this, the still issues persist, 100%.

Would love to hear any advice, recommendations, etc. I'm currently out of the country so it's not so easy to bring this into repair. I've never even seen an apple store here and can't find one on the apple website.
