Gen 3 tv has poor and opaque color. Don’t know how to fix or is the unit faulty

Colors are washed out poor gamut Can’t find anything that remotely helps me solve this issue. Is my unit faulty?

Apple TV Colors All Messed Up I have an older Apple TV 4th gen (A1625) and I've had a strange issue happen yesterday night. We used it just fine earlier in the day and now suddenly the colors are completely off; almost everything is black, with some reds and blues coming through. We tried restarts, hard restarts (unplug both wires for a few minutes), changed the HDMI cable, played with all Video/Audio settings (tried all possible options), nothing works. It's worth noting the TV itself is fine. But here's the strange part: when I'm on my TV's main screen (Philips Roku), I can see a thumbnail of my HDMI 1 where the Apple TV is connected, and that preview shows the colors just fine! It's once I click on it to bring it full screen that colors get messed up. What can I do?

An interesting problem has developed with my unit with a somewhat faded appearance of the home screen and system screens and all screens except programs, which have normal display. Swapping the unit with two other units that we have demonstrates the problem is with this one unit, not the TV or cables; the issue follows the unit (other units display normally on all three TVS and the unit in question has the faded home screen/system screens on all TVs.) I have tried rebooting it to no avail; I have resisted resetting the unit out of concern about having to re-enter subscription data for many of my apps (!). The background display (light/dark/automatic) has no affect on the faded appearance mainly of the reds. Does anyone have experience with this and tell me whether this is end of life or whether a reset will resolve the issue? Thanks

I have no color on my Apple TV 4. Can you tell me why my Apple TV has no color, all the rest of the setup works fine.

Is this about a new Apple TV 4K (3rd generation) (2022)?

If you bought it new within the last 90 days, then consider making use of Apple Complimentary Support - Official Apple Support.
