Cannot apply daily cash to card balance

IT seems that the ios16 update has removed the option to apply daily cash to my Apple card balance.

I can see the daily cash balance but there used to be the option to apply it to the card balance.

I do not have, nor want, to use Apple Cash in any form.

Ideas?

With the latest IOS upgrade to my iPhone, I now have the same issue - after wasting 10 minutes thinking I had forgotten how to apply Daily Cash to my statement balance, I called Goldman Sachs. When I was told that I had to either call them every month to apply the Daily Cash to the statement balance, or go through steps online, or set up a Daily Cash account, I told the rep that I would simply stop using their credit card. I have now switched all of my default credit cards on the iWatch, iPhone and iPad to use my Capital One Visa where they automatically apply my cash back every time it reaches $25. How absurd that some executives didn't think through the cost wasted by having a Goldman Sachs rep take a call every month to apply the Daily Cash. If they wake up and either automatically apply the cash back to the statement balance, or at least give us the option to apply the credit in our Wallet app, I am finished with a Goldman Sachs Apple credit card.

I was on a chat with the card support and they had confirmed that the ability to apply it to the card balance was removed indeed.

The solution for now is to go to https://card.apple.com site and do it from there - although it was less convenient it worked for me.

I have also requested a fix for this - I suggest you do the same as more people ask for the fix the sooner we get it back.

I discovered this a couple of months ago as well. I expect it is related to the Cash account that Apple is about to roll out with Goldman Sachs.

The idea is that cardholders will be encouraged to maintain cash balances to earn interest in their savings program instead of cashing out the money.

I guessing the default will to push uses to not cashout their daily cash.

Here is quote from Apple's press release:

Apple Card users will be able to grow their rewards in Apple Wallet by automatically depositing their Daily Cash into a new high-yield Savings account from Goldman Sachs

Apple Card will let users grow Daily Cash rewards while saving for the future - Apple
