I don’t think you’re understanding my concern. My child is receiving videos from their friends that are found on the internet on places like TikTok. These are not spam messages or unknown senders. My child doesn’t have access to the Internet or apps like TikTok so they ask their friends to send them to them. What Apple needs to do is to allow parents the capability to turn off MMS in the Settings of their children’s phones so that they are not able to view these types of videos. I turned off MMS for Messages but my child can easily toggle this feature back on in the settings. I think my only solution is to buy a “dumb” phone from Gabb or Pinwheel since Screentime is so limited not to mention the fact that the Apple ID at age 13 turns into a regular account. My child could even make a video and send it too. Which was my question and other point: If there is nudity in the videos my child makes is Apple going to catch that or does the safety feature only apply to photos? Also your reply seems to imply that Apple relies on its user to report incidents as spam or junk. When the child thinks it’s their friend or lover they are not going to report it that way. I don’t think my almost teen’s future will be safe so how do I delete the Apple ID of my child before it turns into a regular Apple user? What disappears from the iCloud Drive after the user is deleted? Can I download any photos and videos my child took for the last 10 years as a child user age 2 to 12? This is sad to think about!

Apple did try to add software to detect such images includin g child abuse images in iphones and iCloud and guess what, people opposed it for reasons of freedom. Apple cannot win.

Talk to the parents of your kid's friends if you think it would not make things ten times worse.. Then talk to your kid about the real world.

I'm not able to help you but I did want to put my two cents in and maybe offer up a couple suggestions.

I wished that tiktok would have been eliminated in the US when it was mentioned by our last president.

That app is a child predator's paradise!! I know this to be a fact because I am a member of law enforcement (LE).

I realize that your daughter is smart enough to unblock her friends if you were to go into her phone and put a block on them. Maybe that won't be the right approach, but what about talking to those kids parents?

Eventually this problem you're having is going to progress and get worse. Instead of her friends sending her these videos, the child predator could.

If it gets to that point, you've got to take the phone away from your child and hand the phone over to your local LE agency. They might have the resources to track the predator down. If not, they need to contact the investigators at the Rupert Police Department in Rupert, ID.

We have an investigator, on our force here in Rupert, that has successfully tracked down and arrested these predator's from within Idaho and several of the surrounding states.

I'm too new on here to know whether or not I can attach urls to our local newspapers and media or I would.

My best suggestion is to put a stop to it quickly, like you're trying to do already.

Keep up the fight!!
