Black Screen by Playing Udemy Videos

Hi,

I'm so annoyed about the new M1 and M2 MacBooks because they don't support 2 or more external displays out of the box. So I bought a Dell Hub and installed the DisplayLink Driver to achieve my setup. Now I cannot watch Udemy videos, because Apple's interface is blocking the DisplayLink driver (see https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/830301-content-protected-video-does-not-play-on-mac-while ) Is there any software solution, which can help me?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 13.0

From some digging I found that disabling "Use hardware acceleration when available" option in chrome system settings resolves the issue. This worked for me at least. I also read using an older version of firefox, but I did not try that.

Thanks! Your solution works :)

I don't know what the drawback is to disabling hardware acceleration, but this is another question :)

I could find this option also in Firefox: Preferences -> General -> Performance -> uncheck Use recommended performance settings -> uncheck Use hardware acceleration when available

-- Edit --

In Firefox the change doesn't work to watch the encrypted udemy videos
