Consider that Big Sur is a somewhat older version of macOS, is there a reason you don't update the OS? Yes, updating plugins is effort, but not much, and usually free.

If your Big Sure running Mac doesn't show a compatible version of LPX, no other Mac will, either. And a newer OS will only show the latest version, which won't be compatible with Big Sur.

This is just how software works these days, it's not just Apple.

I tried that, but it says I need an have a newer OS in the App Store, but I have a lot of other software and plugins on my Mac and I don't want to update it will create a mess. I just want an older version. Somebody I know said I should login on a computer with a newer OS, with my Apple ID in the App Store, in an Apple retail seller shop and then buy the software online, log out again. Then travel home to my own computer, login with my Apple ID go to download section and download the older version that fits with my OS. Seems really stupid! Shouldn't be so hard for Apple to make it possible to choose what software version I want to buy from the OS I have now in the App Store. Not very customer friendly! :-(
